Guest Speaker Kim Slavin Physiotherapist APAM
Kim studied at the Lincoln Institute in Melbourne and worked at several regional physiotherapy practices until she set up her own practice in Yea.
Kim started by telling us a little about her time as an amateur jock-ey which began when she was 15 years old and went for 13 years.
She showed a slide demonstrating the results of a survey of 1200 patients which were asymptomatic but actually showed abnormali-ties when scanned.
Physiotherapy is about determining the goals of her patients and following the instructions given by their medical practitioners. Kim (with quite a bit of help from her audience) demonstrated some basic exercises for the back.

25 members attended the meeting which was opened by Past President Sue Carpenter and chaired by Garry Cocks. Our Caterershad to pull out at the last minute so our dinner was cooked by Kerry Tull and served by Rotarians. A big thank you to Kerry for helping out.
